Dwight Lee Walburn, age 86, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2020 at his residence. He was born Jan. 13, 1934 in Wellston, Ohio to the late Hazel and Glen Walburn of Wellston, Ohio.
Dwight was a graduate of Jackson High School. He was a veteran of the United States Navy in which he served during the Korean War from 1952-1956. He also belonged to the International Brotherhood of Ironworkers Local 172 from 1956-1995.
He enjoyed camping, repairing small engines, building go-carts, dune buggies, playing golf and cards with his friends at the golf course, and watching his grandkids play sports. He attended Calvary United Methodist Church.

Dwight is survived by his wife whom he married on June 29, 1953, Martha Colby Walburn; three children: Debbie (Bruce) McMurray, Pam (Greg) Hill, and Keli (Jason) Massie; seven grandchildren: Kent (Amy) McMurray, Rachel (Brandon) Katzeff, Tess (Dennis) Kyser, Tyler Hill, and Alivia, Cole, and Chase Massie; and seven great-grandchildren: Madison, Lenna, and Scarlett Kyser, Sara Kate and James Katzeff, and Alyse and Mason McMurray.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020 from 12 to 2 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Gary Hogue officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Per CDC guidelines and governor recommendations, we are asked to follow proper social distancing procedures and guidelines.
