Warren Wayne “Butch” Bayes

Warren Wayne “Butch” Bayes, age 73, of Wellston, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022, at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. He was born January 8, 1949, in Gallipolis, Ohio.

Several years ago, Butch was a former employee at Kuppenheimer Manufacturing, also known as the Pants Factory, in Wellston. He loved to play bingo and socialize with others whenever he was able. Butch never met a stranger; he loved to talk with people and was always concerned about others.

Butch is survived by his wife, Marjorie L. Wilbur Bayes; daughter, Christy Bayes (Ben Edmisten); son, Douglas Wilbur; grandchildren: Christopher Edmisten (Holly), Brock Wilbur and Ashton Hall (Nate); siblings: Pat Henry, Larry Henry (Phyllis), Tammy Wires (Rich) and Linda Hayes (Mark); along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Butch was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Bayes Henry; and his sister, Crystal Jeffers.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, July 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral services will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. with Pastor Rick Kincaid officiating. Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.
