Frank Denver Ross, age 90, of Jackson, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016, at Holzer Medical Center in Gallipolis. He was born September 15, 1925, in Jackson, to the late Dempsey and Talma (Fitzpatrick) Ross.
He is survived by his children, Monte (Denise) Ross, of Vandalia, Ohio, Martin (Kathy) Ross and Mary Jane (Jim) Marte, all of Jackson; grandchildren, Heather (Nathan) Combs and Andy (Betsy) Ross; great-grandchildren, Ella, Luke and Gus Combs; four step grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Rosemary, and his siblings: Wayne, Isabelle, Betty and Bobby.
Frank retired from G & J Auto Parts after 43 years of service. He was also a loyal supporter of the Jackson Ironmen for over 75 years, a lifetime member of the Lions Club, and an avid golfer and card game enthusiast at Franklin Valley Golf Club.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2016, at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson with Father Stephen Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call Friday, July 22, 2016, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home with a Lions Club service at 7:30 and may call again Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
