Glenn James “Bud” Willis

Glenn James “Bud” Willis went to be with the Lord on July 24, 2015 after battling an illness. Bud was born November 15, 1945 to the late Marshal “Curly” Willis and Velva (Mapes) Willis.

Bud leaves behind his loving wife, Jeanne; sons, Chad Willis, Todd (Gloria) Willis, Le (Missy) Burnett, and Brandon (Darlene) Burnett; grandchildren, Laura (Andy) Pierce, Amanda (Nathan) Hemby, Cory (Jessica) Willis, Holly Burnett, Cody Burnett, Gauge Burnett, Brandi Burnett, Cody (Hannah) McDaniel, and Austin McDaniel. He is also survived by three sisters who loved their baby brother more than anything, Audrey Tipton, Janice Queen, and Karen Dulaney; a brother-in-law and dear friend, Herbert “Jack” Tipton; eight great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, a great church family, and his special canine companion, Harvey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Geneva Bethel; three brothers, Earl “Buddy” Willis, Harry Dean Willis, and Donald Willis; also one best buddy and sidekick, Sammy.

Bud had many friends he had met from owning and operating Bud’s One Stop, along with his wife, Jeanne. He was a dedicated member of World Outreach Church and his wife requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the church — World Outreach Ministries, Bud Willis Memorial, 6533 OH-327, Jackson, OH 45640. Bud will be sadly missed by many. The family would like to extend special thanks to Holzer Hospice for their care.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 27, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 11 a.m. at World Outreach Church with Pastor Rob Irvin officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
