Glendon (Glennie) Sharp, age 83, of Oak Hill, Ohio passed away Friday, September 20, 2013 at his home. He was born December 31, 1929 to the late Artie and Evelyn Sharp. Glen was a retired truck driver operator for Waterloo Coal Company. He loved going to car shows and entering his ’56 Chevy. After retiring, Glen enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
He is survived by his wife, Dora Sharp; brothers, John (Eloise) Sharp, and Billy Sharp, both of Oak Hill, Ohio; two sisters, Yvonne Boggs of Oak Hill, Ohio and Sandy (Steve) Sickles of Jackson, Ohio; six step-children, Linda (Ron) Borden of Chillicothe, Ohio, from his first wife, Richard Leonard and Rob (Sharilyn) Leonard, both of Oak Hill, Ohio, Sharon Crabtree of Kitts Hill, Ohio, Katrena McCoy of Oak Hill, Ohio, and Kathy Hull of Jackson, Ohio; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; as well as lots of close friends.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn (Pancake) Sharp; brothers, Ray and Robert Sharp; and one sister, Freda Barnhart.
A funeral service will be held Monday, September 23, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Oak Hill, Ohio. Burial will follow at C.M. Cemetery in Oak Hill, Ohio with Pastor Bryon Carmon officiating. Friends may call Sunday, September 22, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
