Rodney Dean Landrum, age 82, of Jackson, Ohio passed away Oct. 25, 2020 with his beloved wife by his side at Grant Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He was born April 21, 1938 to the late Harry and Jessie (Dyson) Landrum. At the age of 19, he married his high school sweetheart and later was drafted by the Army to serve in the 76th Engineer Battalion in Korea. Upon discharge he and his wife lived in Columbus, Ohio for 35 years. When he retired as a cement mason they moved back to his home town of Jackson.
He is survived by his sweetheart of 63 years, Dorothy “Dottie” Faye (Gillispie) Landrum; daughter, Rhonda Landrum; granddaughter, Heather Estep (Michael) Beasley; and three great-grandchildren: Hailey, Daniel, and Gabriella “Gabby) Beasley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell and Robert; and two sisters, Donna Jean Reisinger and Linda Hoover.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, Oct. 30, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Graveside services with military honors will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Pastor Bill Zink officiating.
