Robert L. Hartley, age 70, of Wellston, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the VA Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio. He was born Nov. 12, 1947 in Wellston, Ohio to the late Luther “Boots” Hartley and Margaret Morris Hartley.
Robert was a Vietnam veteran of the United States Army, serving in the 1st Calvary division combat tracker team.
He is survived by daughters, Annette Holland and Bev (Eric) Conrad; grandchildren, Jamie (Julio) Campos, Christina Conrad (Forrest Banks), Ashley Holland (John Monsivais); great-grandchildren, Kane Monsivais, Danielle Aiken, Aubree Conrad, Canton Conrad, Aurora Campos, Winter Mia Rose Campos, all of Texas; sisters, Anna Belle Linton of Wellston, Loretta Betts of Dayton, Mary McCray of Waynesville and Jeannie (Keith) Jordan of Wellston; brothers, James Hartley of Chillicothe and John Hartley of Brookville, as well as many nieces and nephews with whom he was close.
Besides his parents, Robert was also preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas “Jr.” and Donnie Hartley; sister, Martha Gilliland and granddaughter, Amber Conrad.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 1 to 5:30 p.m. Funeral service will immediately follow the calling hours Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston with Elder Sandy Wright and Elder Ann Keating officiating.
