Talana Ruth Collins, age 45 of Jackson, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at her home residence. She was born Knox County, Kentucky on May 19, 1971 to the late Ohler Gray and Betty (Rogers) Gray, who survives. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two great nieces: Ileigh and Kinslee Henson.
In addition to her mother, she is also survived by her husband of 21 years, Mark Collins; two amazing sons: Mike and Justin Morgan; a step-daughter, Amanda Roe; a sister, Gail (J R) Crabtree; a brother, Junior Gray; nieces: Kayla O’Neill, Nikki Barker, Catelyn Mercer, Alyssa Gray; nephew, Tate Aldridge; great-nieces: Kylan Strickland and Aaliyah Mercer; and great-nephews: Tatum Henson, Malaki Barker and Hunter Barker.
Talana had a great love for her fur babies: Zeus, Bella and Layla. She was a loving and caring mother; would do anything for anybody – others were always first. She was a long-time resident of Jackson County and enjoyed motorcycles and spending time outdoors.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 27 from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home in Jackson. Burial will follow in Pattonsville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like for donations be made to the Jackson County Humane Society.
