Mildred “Kay” Moore, age 73, of Jackson, passed away at the Jenkins Care Community in Wellston on Thursday, February 18, 2016. She was born in Jackson County on June 15, 1942.
Her parents, Robert and Evelyn Hill and Lowell and Virginia Hartley; two brothers, Keith Hill and Steve Hill, and one sister, Patsy Glandon, preceded her in death.
Kay is survived by her sons: Butch (Misty) Moore, Brian (Kristie) Moore, Mike Moore (Tricia Laug); and daughters, Tina (Dan) Fulks, Robin Davis and Michelle (Jim) Staten; brothers: John (Vickie) Hartley, Frank Hartley, Chuck (Diane) Hartley, Paul Hartley and Mike Truman; and sisters, Sue Pieron and Becky Mullen. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the light of her life.
She loved her church and being in the choir. She worked as a medical secretary for Dr. Zimmerly for many years.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 23, at the Jackson First Church of the Nazarene, 251 Powell Drive, in Jackson, with Pastors Mike Percell and Todd Barlow officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home on Monday, February 22 from 4 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Jackson Church of the Nazarene Youth Group.
