Dowlene M. Border Morgan, age 75, of Wellston, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 6, 2016, at the Edgewood Manor of Wellston. She was born December 27, 1940 in Wellston, Ohio to the late Dow H. Border and Lottie H. Clark Border.
Dowlene was a 1958 graduate of Wellston High School and was a former employee of the Hercules Trouser Company in Wellston for 26 years. She formerly attended the Church of God in Wellston and the Vega Methodist Church, and she was an avid bowler and golfer.
Dowlene is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Colleen Border of Wellston; niece, Sheri Derrow of Wellston; nephew, Brad Border of Wellston; great-niece, Mandi Derrow Mullikin (Matt) of Mason, Oh.; great-nephew, Brant Derrow (Kiley) of Wellston; great-great-nephew, Bradon Derrow; step-daughters, Angela Morris (Mike) of Williamsburg, Va. and Crystal Collins (Greg) of Parkersburg, W. Va.; granddaughter, Andrea Carey of Richmond, Va., along with several cousins and friends, including special friends, Janice Davis and Mildred Davis, both of Jackson.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Milton L. Morgan, and her nephew, Jim Derrow.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Rob Ervin officiating. Burial will follow in the Ridgewood Cemetery.
