Heather Dawn Darnell, age 45, of Wellston, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015, at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson. She was born November 2, 1969 in Gallipolis, Ohio. Heather was a 1988 graduate of Jackson High School and she was a former employee of the Wellston Post Office for several years. Heather enjoyed making crafts and baking, as well as helping her children with their science fair projects.
She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Darnell of Wellston; children, Kaitlin (Chris) Thompson of Jacksonville, N.C., Savannah Darnell, EvanDarnell, Bobbirose Darnell and Elizabeth “Libby” Darnell, all of Wellston; mother and step-father, Rosemary and Ron Ferenchak of Maumee, Oh.; father and step-mother, Jerry and Pam Kirkendall of South Carolina; step-father and step-mother, Roger and Julie Smith of Jackson; brothers, Gene Smith of South Webster and Dusty Smith of Jackson; sister, Corrie Ferenchak of Youngstown, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Calling hours will be Monday from 6 to 8 P.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 A.M. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with John Pelletier, CLP officiating. Burial will be in the Ridgewood Cemetery.
