William K. “Bill” Warning, age 86, of Oak Hill, Ohio, passed away at his residence on Thursday, January 22, 2015. He was born February 9, 1928 in Lockbourne, Ohio to the late Stanley and Charlotte (Stewart) Warning. Bill served for over 22 years in the United States Air Force before retiring. After his military retirement, he owned and operated Ashland Service Station until his retirement from there in the mid-90s.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Juanita “Lib” Warning; daughter, Susan (Jeff) Moore; three grandchildren, Kayla (Derrick) Carl, and Karla and Troy Moore; several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends; three step-granddaughters, Carla (Brian) Cox, Cindy Campbell, and Courtney (Jerry) Nichols; seven step-great-grandchildren; several step-great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Judith (Raymond) Strickland and Jean Strickland; and dear friend and caregiver, Shirley Adkins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Benny Warning; a sister, Bonnie Chattoes; an infant sister; and stepson, Edward “Buck” Collins.
Friends may call Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill. A service will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Elza Green officiating. Burial will follow at Horeb Cemetery.
