Kandy S. Coleman, 55, of Hamden, Ohio, passed away on Thursday morning, August 14, 2014, at the Four Winds Community. She was born in Wellston, Ohio, on March 9, 1959, daughter of Denver Caudill who passed away in 2009, and Sharon L. Rice Caudill of Hamden, Ohio. She was a 1977 graduate of Vinton County Consolidated High School and a former clerk for Holzer Home Care in Jackson and Gallia counties.
Besides her father, she was also preceded in death by a nephew, Afton Scarberry; maternal grandparents, Charles and Helen Rice; and paternal grandparents, Virgil and Dellie Caudill.
Besides her mother, she is survived by two sons, Josh (Emily) Coleman and Eric Coleman of McArthur; four brothers, Russ (Rhonda) Caudill, Charlie (Robin Cravens) Caudill, and Aaron (Jamie) Caudill, all of Hamden and Larry (Lisa) Caudill of McArthur; four sisters, Cindy (Jerry) Scarberry of McArthur, Shari (Steve) Bobb and Mary Beth (Frank) Guthrie of Hamden, and Alice (Kevin) Douglas of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; four grandchildren, Kendra, Jenna, Chase, and Bryce Coleman; special cousin, Blane Gallagher of Jackson, Ohio; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Friends are invited to call at the Jenkins Funeral Chapel in Wellston to pay their final respects on Sunday, Aug. 17 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be Monday, Aug. 18 at 11 a.m. at the Jenkins Chapel with Pastor Dobie Wyant officiating. Burial will follow in the Elk Cemetery in McArthur at Kandy’s final resting place.
The family politely requests that memorial contributions in Kandy’s memory go towards her burial expenses. Contributions may be given to her son, Josh L. Coleman, of McArthur, Ohio.
