Nancy M. White, age 93, of Wellston, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson, Ohio. She was born July 23, 1920 in Switzer, W. Va., the daughter of the late Claude E. and Rosa Criswell.
Nancy was a loving mother and homemaker who enjoyed sewing, embroidering and doing the Lord’s work. She was the oldest founding member of the Lifesource Apostolic Church, of which she was very proud.
Nancy is survived by her children, June Hall of Whitman, W. Va., Claude Diamond of Cincinnati, Rosie (Ted) Adkins of Whitmore Lake, Mich., Patricia Quigley of Middletown, Joan (Bob) Burnheimer of Chillicothe and Gideon (Bobbie) White of Portsmouth; step-son, James White of New Haven, Indiana; step-granddaughter, who was raised in Nancy’s home, Patricia “Tracy” Pigg of Missouri, as well as many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie E. White in 1979; infant twins, Carl David and Debra Sue in 1960; son, Willie E. White, Jr. in 1984; step-daughters, Janice, Eudora and Shirley, along with three grandsons, one great-grandson and one brother.
Calling hours were set for Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Lifesource Apostolic Church in Wellston with Pastor Michael Jadrnicek officiating. Burial will follow in the Glen Roy Cemetery.
