Pamela Joyce Hale Ramsey of Oak Hill, Ohio went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 21, 2013. Pamela was born in Oak Hill, Ohio on April 9, 1952 to Nathan and Dorothy (King) Hale who preceded her in death.
Pamela was united in marriage on February 15, 1974 to William (Bill) Ramsey and the couple lovingly raised their three children: Doctor Jennifer Ramsey of Bozman, Mt., Doctor Aaron (Maria) Ramsey of Albany, Ohio, and Alison (Matt) Beach of Oxford, Ohio.
Pamela is also survived by sisters, Judith Woodruff and Bonnie (Tom) Libby, both of Oak Hill, Ohio. In addition remaining are many family members, nieces and nephews, and a multitude of friends who all knew that they were loved by Pam.
Pamela was a graduate of Oak Hill High School, owner of Oak Hill Floral, and for several years has been a cook at Oak Hill Elementary School. She spoke often and fondly about the little ones that she helped to feed at the school, always greeting them with love and a smile.
Pam’s church and family were of the utmost importance to her, she could always be found at every possible church service, working wherever she was needed whether it was with little ones, organizing dinners, or making her famous pies and dumplings. Pam had a great love for her flowers which grew beautifully all around her home. Little children were drawn to Pam’s spirit and she loved to rock and hold little ones or even to just watch them at play. Her witness of a Christ-like spirit will be missed by all that knew her but the example of a “virtuous” woman will always remain. The world is a little darker place today because Pam’s light has gone out, but for Pam her “faith has finally become sight.”
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 24, 2013 at Gallia Baptist Church with Pastor Cline Rawlins, Rev. Herman Stewart and Jerry Lowery officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery. Friends can call from 1 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at the Lewis-Gillum Funeral Home in Oak Hill.
