Alice Baisden, 72, of Wellston, passed away Friday, April 26, 2013, at the Adena Regional Medical Center. The daughter of the late Kenneth and Ola Morris Bright, she was born August 27, 1940, at Bainbridge, Ohio. Alice was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
She became the bride of Bennie Baisden in 1958 at Glenroy and he survives along with their children, Timmy (Diana) of Glenroy, Wanda Albert of Florida and Brenda (Mike Gilliland) Baisden of Jackson. Other survivors include a granddaughter, Crystal (Chris) Helgerson of Oregon; two great-grandchildren, Kurtis and Lailani; siblings, Richard (Sue) of Texas, Helen (Pete) Nyktas of Toledo, Beulah (Lacy) McKenzie of Columbus, Jeanie of Caldwell, Rosie (Bennie) Ralph of Caldwell and Leona Tennant of Jackson; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and Alice’s good friend, Donna Ginther.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby, John, Jimmy, Victor and Bill Bright; and sisters, Grace and Mary Ellen.
Calling hours will be Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Huntley & Cremeens Funeral Home. The service will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Allen Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the Baisden Family Cemetery near Glenroy.
