ARMENTROUT, Esta Marie 94, of Springfield, died Tuesday morning, August 21, 2012 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born in Wellston, Ohio on April 4, 1918, the daughter of the late Charles and Effie Mae (Yerian) Dixon. Esta was a member of Catawba United Methodist Church. She is survived by two children, Jeanne Shatto of Springfield and Jerry (Brenda) Armentrout of South Vienna; daughter-in-law, Ruth Ann Armentrout of Springfield; grandchildren, Becky (Alan) Pester, Jane (Ken) Wood, Marianne (Greg) Beaver, Jamie (Greg) Fecher, David (Tammy) Armentrout, Jennifer (Ricky) Burkitt, Kelly Branch, Jon (Amy) Armentrout, Doug (Teresa) Armentrout, Terri (John) Cook, and Stacey (Chris) Freer; 26 great grandchildren; and many great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Talford E. “Jack” Armentrout; a son, Jon Armentrout; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Orville Kimble; a granddaughter, Kristin Armentrout; a great grandson, Logan Branch; three sisters; and seven brothers. The family wishes to extend their thanks to Dr. Marvin Narcelles, the staff at 1 North at Springfield Regional, especially Amber and Louis, and ICU nurses, Jennifer, Paige, Heather, and Kathy. Esta’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Ken Woode officiating.
