Dorothy Faye Taylor Lewis, age 82, passed away at her home Thursday, August 9, 2012 after a lengthy illness. She was born April 16, 1931 in Cheshire, Ohio to the late Edna (Rife) and Charles Taylor. She was married to Edward Lewis on December 17, 1954, who survives.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by son, Tim Lewis; daughters, Margie (Gregg) Kiefer and Beverly Lewis; granddaughter, Richele (Greg) Farrar; great-grandchildren, Gage, Madyson and Reagan Farrar; sisters, Alice (Tom) Brisker, twin sister, Doris Miller of Oak Hill, Mary Dameron of Waverly, Edie Ridgeway of Jackson; brothers, Ivan, Carl and Clyde (Shirley) Taylor of Jackson; sister-in-law, Helen Taylor; and brother-in-law, Paul McGhee of Jackson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, William and Harold Taylor, and Grace McGhee of Jackson.
Dorothy graduated from Oak Hill High School in 1949. She was owner-operator of The Hi-Way Restaurant and Lewis Turkey Farm of Oak Hill, also Lewis Family Restaurant of Jackson. She also attended the Presbyterian Church of Jackson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at the Lewis-Gillum Funeral Home in Oak Hill (formerly Kuhner-Lewis) with Rev. David Downton officiating.
