Naomi Ruth Duncan, age 94, of Jackson, passed away Saturday afternoon, March 24, 2012 at Heartland of Jackson. A former resident of Athens, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth Aldridge Stiffler. She was born February 12, 1918 in Coalton, Ohio.
Ruth was an avid bowler and a creative craft maker. She was a devoted mother to Jerri Hogan and Dick Duncan.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Jerri Hogan of Fayetteville, Pa.; five grandchildren, Steve (Amanda) Hogan of Long Island, NY, Judi (Scott) Dotson of Vienna, Va., Mike (Amanda) Hogan of Muncy, Pa., Darby (Diane) Duncan of Tampa, Fla., and Whitney (Mark) Robinson of Valdosta, Ga.; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Michael of Jackson and Mary Gibson of Waverly; and also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Duncan in 2002; her son, Dick Duncan in 2003; her son-in-law, Steve Hogan in 2008 and three brothers, Frank, Gene and Tom Stiffler.
