Harold Glendon Channell, age 88, of Jackson, went to be with the Lord on Friday March 23, 2012 at the VA Hospital in Chillicothe. He was born in Jackson, Ohio May 31, 1923 to the late Mr. and Mrs. George Channell. He was a graduate of Jackson High School, a World War II Navy veteran, member of the DAV Chapter #45 of Jackson, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He attended the Freewill Baptist Church of Coalton.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Melvina Channell; step daughters, Virginia and Chicki; step sons, David and William Stewart; step grandson, Scott Stewart; step great-grandson, Casey Stewart; grandson, Duane Stewart and granddaughter, Ginger Stewart.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Charles and Emett Channell.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the Eisnaugle-Lewis Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Simpson officiating and burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery. A military graveside service will be conducted by the Disabled American Veterans Chapter #45 of Jackson. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the funeral home.
