Kind. Considerate. Loving. Caring. These are but a few words that describe Travis Lynn Strnad, 79, of Wellston, who passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2021, at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. He was born on March 20, 1942, in Wagner, Oklahoma, son of the late Travis B. and Myrtle (Carney) Strnad. Travis proudly served his country in the United States Army for 7 1/2 years during the Vietnam Conflict. He enjoyed fishing, going to the movie theater, singing at Rotary and attending the local senior citizen center parties. A very courageous man, Travis was a cancer survivor. He was always the first to help others in need and loved dogs, as well as rescuing them. His kind heart and generosity will be greatly missed.

He is survived by the “love of his life,” Marcia Kessler; sister, Alvena Norwood; stepson, Jeremy Grates; as well as nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Travis was preceded in death by his wife, Jolene Snider Strnad; and stepson, Kenny.

In keeping with his wishes, his body will be cremated. A celebration of his life will be held after the new year. Please visit www.rmwilliamsfuneralservice.com to leave a message of comfort, encouragement, or condolence to the family.
