Owen Russell Adkins, 66, of Oak Hill passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021, at the Holzer Medical Center of Gallipolis. He was born August 28, 1955, in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late Billy Joe Adkins and Margaret Ellen Gray Adkins.
He was retired from the Ohio State Highway Patrol after working for 30 years. He loved trapping, hunting, fishing, driving the back roads and spending time with his friends.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah K. Logan Adkins; daughter, Kara Beth (Travis) Stickley; sons: Steve (Natalie) Adkins and Scott (Alannah) Adkins; brother, Dean Adkins; sisters: Pam McNeal, Paula Chapman and Jolene (Jeff) Elcess; grandchildren: Brynlee Stickley, Harrison Stickley, Tyler Adkins, Savannah Adkins, Caleb Adkins, Donavon Adkins, Mason Adkins, Adelyn Adkins and Weston Adkins. He was also survived by several nieces, nephews and many close friends. He was preceded by his parents; stepfather of 41 years, Oscar Adkins; brother, Michael Adkins; and brother-in-law, Danny McNeal.
