Donald Max Drake was born March 1, 1931 in Hamden, Ohio and he passed away on Sept. 2, 2018 in Gallatin, TN, at the age of 87.
Mr. Drake was a 1949 graduate of Jackson High School. His years spent in Jackson and friends made there were some of his fondest memories. During his time residing in Ohio, Kentucky, Texas and Tennessee, he was a door salesman and small business owner. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Korean War. His parents, Julian Bernard and Alyce Roberta Barlow Drake, preceded him in death, and he is survived by his wife, Evelyn R. Drake, and four sons.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018 at St. Timothy Lutheran Church, located at 650 E. Main St., Hendersonville, TN with Pastor Lewis Groce officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials to the Don Drake Seminary Scholarship Fund at St. Timothy Lutheran Church.
