Johnny Eston Orender, Jr.

Johnny Eston Orender, Jr., age 49, of Jackson, passed away Friday, March 30, 2018 at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore, after a tragic pool accident while on vacation in Ocean City, Maryland. He was born in Chillicothe, Ohio on July 9, 1968 to LaDean (Ward) Orender and the late Johnny Eston Orender, Sr.

In addition to his mother, LaDean, he is survived by his wife of 25 years, Shannan (Smith) Orender, of Jackson; children, Jaimi Orender, 22, and Devin Orender, 13, both of Jackson; grandson, Leviticus “Levi” Canterbury, age 1, of Jackson; sister, Paula (Tom) Stewart, of Jackson; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and a large group of friends, who were like his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Eston Orender, Sr.

Johnny graduated from Jackson High School in 1986. He worked for the family business at John’s Kawasaki, Yamaha until 2002. He worked for the Ohio Department of Transportation where he was currently employed. Johnny also owned and operated Johnny Raughtens bar in Jackson. Johnny loved to go on vacations, kayaking, to concerts and ride his Harley-Davidson with his wife Shannan and family.

Friends may call Wednesday, April 4, 2018 from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jack Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery.
