Born June 19, 1933 in Hinton, West Virginia to Julian and Gay Hines, she spent her early childhood in Alderson West Virginia before moving to Jackson, Ohio. She graduated from Jackson High School in 1951 and cherished the relationships with her classmates, many of whom she saw regularly.

She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church of Jackson and enjoyed playing bridge with various groups of friends and had also been involved with many local groups through the years.

An avid horse lover, she started riding when she was 10 years old and continued for 70 years, riding until she was 80.

A special thank you to Roger and Julee Smith and Matt Fraley for enabling her.

She is survived by son Sam (Susan) Brackman, Jr., granddaughters Kayla and Emma; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Bud Hines.

The family would like to thank all of Jenkins Care Community for their kindness and dedication, and her many friends for their thoughts and prayers along the way.
