Mary Aileen Owens, age 95, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Jenkins Memorial Health Facility, Wellston, Ohio. She was born in Beaver, Ohio, on July 21, 1920. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Margaret (Horton) Lloyd; husband, Howard Owens; and sisters, Georgia Cox and Verna Remy.
Mary was a life member of the Beaver United Methodist Church where she played the piano and taught Sunday School. She was also a member of the Women’s Church Society.
She is survived by son, Thomas Howard (Donna) Owens of Wilmington, North Carolina; two daughters, Kathryn Elaine (Randall) Adams of Jackson and Marilyn Sue (Larry) Priest of Gallipolis, Ohio; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a special niece, Judy Keller.
Funeral service will be held at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home Sunday, April 24, at 2 p.m., with Rev. Janie Karl officiating. Friends will be received two hours prior to the service on Sunday from noon to 2 p.m. Burial will follow in the Beaver Union Cemetery, Beaver, Ohio.
