Mary Ella Steorts, age 86, of Wellston, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014, at the Edgewood Manor of Wellston. She was born August 7, 1927 in Wellston, Ohio to the late Carus A. Steorts and Adda Rae James Steorts Salmons.
Mary was a 1945 graduate of Wellston High School. She retired as a data entry operator at The Ohio University, where she was employed for 25 years. Mary attended the former Wills Chapel Church in Wellston.
She is survived by her sister, Barbara Rider Albert (Luther) of Wellston; brother, James Steorts (Marilyn) of Ironton, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Albrect and Joanne Steorts.
Funeral service will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston with Carmen Cline officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow in the Ridgewood Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.mcwilliams-funeralhome.com
