Norma “Jane” McDaniel, age 75, of Wellston, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014, at the Holzer Medical Center in Jackson, Ohio. She was born March 6, 1939 at Berlin Crossroads, Ohio to the late Lenora McDaniel.
Jane was a 1957 graduate of Wellston High School and was a former employee of Lazarus Department Store in Columbus and Macy’s Department Store in Cincinnati for 30 years. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church at Berlin Crossroads. Jane was an avid baseball fan, especially cheering for the Cincinnati Reds, and she enjoyed taking care of her cats.
She is survived by her brother, Jim Wilson of Wellston, as well as several cousins. Besides her mother, Jane was preceded in death by her grandparents, who helped raise her, Mindora and Edward McDaniel.
Calling hours will be Monday from 12 to 2 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Keith Fulton officiating.
