John Emerson Morgan, age 88, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014. He was born November 4, 1925 in Oak Hill, Ohio to the late Daniel H. and Ruth (James) Morgan.
John was a graduate of Oak Hill High School. After graduation, he started his career in the family hardware business. He later moved to Columbus, Ohio to assume a position in sales at Columbus Pipe Incorporated. John then retired back to Jackson, Ohio.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Preceding John in death in addition to his parents was his ex-wife, Helen Morgan; a sister, Evelyn (Morgan) Hyer; and four brothers, D. Paul Morgan, Sanford H. Morgan, Arthur C. Morgan, and Donald J. Morgan.
A service will be held at Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill, Ohio on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 1 p.m. with Rev. David Roach officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Oak Hill, Ohio. Friends may call Wednesday, March 19, 2014 prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
