Madonna J. Gersper

Madonna J. Gersper, age 72, of Oak Hill, went to be with her Lord and Saviour, Thursday, February 27, 2014, after a long illness. She was born September 14, 1941 to the late Ralph and Rosalie (Daniels) Cox.

Madonna served in the United States Air Force and was an owner of thoroughbred race horses.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Joseph Gersper; five children, Debora Whittle, Rick Capehart, Mike Gersper, Pat Passwaters, and Carla Gersper; two brothers, Jake Cox and Ronnie Cox; 12 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents is her brother, Steven Cox.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 5, at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev Danny Boggs officiating. Burial will follow in C.M. Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. A military graveside service will be conducted by the Jackson DAV post #45.
