Jewell L. Fulton

Jewell L. Fulton, age 86, of Wellston, passed away Friday, November 15, 2013, at the Holzer Assisted Living in Jackson, Ohio. She was born July 9, 1927 in Neon, Kentucky, to the late Charles and Maggie Warden Taylor.

Jewell was a 1945 graduate of Fleming-Neon High School. She was the former owner and operator of Fulton’s Grocery at Berlin Crossroads. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wellston and she loved the beach and enjoyed swimming.

Jewell is survived by her children, Regina (Keith) Mattson of Wellston and Conard (Barbara) Fulton of Jackson; five grandchildren, Juliana (Robert) Weaver of Columbus, Angela (Archie) Spangler of Wellston, Tamar (Josh) Ross of Jackson, Chad Fulton of Columbus and Nicole (Mike) Larson of Augusta, Ga.; nine great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Gannon, Grant, Bianca, Noel, Madison, Emily, Aubrey and Connar, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Willard E. Fulton in 2005; sisters, Cleo McManis and Violas Roscoe, and brothers, Edwin Taylor, Victor Taylor and Freddie Taylor.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 12 to 3 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
