Mary Charlotte Massie

Mary Charlotte Massie, age 82, of Oak Hill, Ohio, formerly of Elkhart, Indiana passed away Thursday, October 24, 2013 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio. She was born October 9, 1931 to the late Dennis and Decoma (Bond) Trapp.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda (Danny) McKenzie of Oak Hill, Ohio and Brenda Miller of Elkhart, Indiana; one son, Ray Marshall Massie of Nebraska; 11 grandchildren, Danny McKenzie Jr., Robby, Justin, and Kevin McKenzie, Greg Miller, Michael Young Massie, Casey Ray Browning, Demetric Raven Massie, Jaguar Massie, Johnny Ray Massie, and Ziggy Massie; a sister, Joan Allen; brothers, Earl Trapp and Larry Trapp; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Junior Trapp and Bill Trapp.

She was a very kind-hearted person; she devoted her life to her children and was always putting herself last while thinking first of others.

Funeral services are under the direction of Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Oak Hill, Ohio. Friends may call on Sunday, October 27 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Stan Howard officiating.
