George Hendricks, 85, of Beaver, Ohio passed away Monday, October 21, 2013 at the Four Winds Nursing Facility of Jackson. He was born January 23, 1928 in Barbourville, Kentucky to the late John and Dora Meeks Hendricks. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean War, member of the Piketon-Jasper United Methodist Church, Pike County Shrine Club, Orient Lodge 321 F&AM and enjoyed spending time working on his farm.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marie Poe Hendricks; daughter, Elizabeth Hendricks; sister, Nan Harding; brother, Doug Hendricks; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Phyllis Hendricks; brothers and sisters, Marion Hendricks, Geneva Lindsay, William “Bill” Hendricks and Hugh Hendricks.
A memorial service will be held in the future, at a date to be announced. Arrangements are under direction of the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home.
