Barbara Ann Detty, 80, of Jackson went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 17, 2013 with her loving family around her.
She was born in Ashland, KY on September 28, 1932. Barb was a loving mother and wife. She married the love of her life, Joseph Detty, on June 1, 1950 and they were married for over 40 years until they were separated by his death in December of 1991.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson for over 55 years. Barb enjoyed her friends, vacationing in Florida, and her dog Muff. She could be seen frequently by many on one of her daily walks throughout Jackson.
Barb is survived by her sister, Phyliss (Dick) Coyan of Circlevile; Sister-in-law, Helen Kinnison; Brother-in-law, Wilson Detty of Jackson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Thelma (Colburn) Naugle; husband, Joseph Detty; son Robert “Bobby” Joe Detty; and brothers Harry Jr. and David Naugle.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Lewis-Gillum Funeral Home Jackson with Pastor Tim Keeton officiating.
Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetary. Friends may call from 11-1pm on Wednesday, August 21, 2013. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the First Baptist Church of Jackson, 35 Broadway St., Jackson, OH 45640.
