Rev. Troy “Buddy” Miller

Rev. Troy “Buddy” Miller, age 69, of Jackson, passed from this life and went to be with Jesus on Saturday, August 18, 2012. He was born September 11, 1942 in Wonder, Kentucky to Farinda (Blackburn) Miller and the late Merlin Miller.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Bob (Robyn) Miller, of Jackson, Julie (Jim) Popp, of Canfield, Ohio, Brian (Barbie) Miller, of Ashville, Ohio, and Jamie (Melissa) Miller, of Chillicothe, Ohio; former spouse, Janice Miller, of Jackson; sister, Sue (Charles) Mullins, of Jackson; grandchildren, Devin Miller, of Jackson, Cassie (Brandon) Harrison, of Oak Hill, Brianna and Brent Miller, of Ashville, Ohio; step grandchildren, Richard Marhoover, of Columbus, Ohio, Robert (Kendra) Marhoover, of Jackson, Jamie Jeffers, of Beaver, PA, and Derek and Landen Case, of Chillicothe. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, Logan and Ashlyn Miller, of Jackson, Harley Harrison, of Oak Hill; and step great-grandchildren, Isabella Jeffers and Jessie Jordan, of Beaver, PA. He is preceded in death by his father, Merlin Miller.

Troy was formerly employed at Pillsbury in Wellston, for many years he was Pastor for the Coalton Freewill Baptist Church, among other churches. He enjoyed visiting and ministering to the residents at Heartland and Four Winds Nursing Homes, as well as ministering to others through his weekly radio broadcasts.

Per Troy’s request, there was a private family service and burial at Franklin Valley Cemetery officiated by Fred Crabtree. Arrangements are under the direction of the Lewis-Gillum Funeral Home (formerly Eisnaugle-Lewis) of Jackson.
