Brenda (Jones) Adkins, age 70, of Vinton, formerly of Oak Hill, passed away on August 18, 2012. She was born in Oak Hill, Ohio May 2, 1942 to the late Edward “Dick” and Luella (Trainer) Jones.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Robert “Bob” Adkins; daughters, Laura (Doug) Conger, of Oak Hill, and Clarissa (Brian) Howell, of Wellston. She is also survived by two grandchildren, James (Hee Kyoung) Baker, of Korea, Kasey Conger, of Nashville, TN; stepsons, Bobby (Becky) Adkins, Eugene (Marion) Adkins, Jim (Carla) Adkins, and Jay (Rose) Adkins; several step grandchildren; one great-grandson; sisters, Jane Ann Dutiel, of Westerville, Christine Zinn, of Wellston and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Melvin Jones and sister, Nancy Hollback. Brenda was an avid bird watcher and enjoyed vacationing with her family at Oak Island, North Carolina.
