Carrie F. Patterson, 46, of Newcomerstown, formerly of Wellston, Ohio, died on Sunday, June 10th after a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer. She died in Coshocton Hospital surrounded by her loving children and family.

Carrie was born in Gallipolis, Ohio, on October 19, 1965, to Mike and Sue Patterson, and grew up in Wellston, Ohio. She worked as a medical transcriptionist and later as an administrative assistant at Mike & B Sales in Newcomerstown.

Carrie loved life and laughter and had a great sense of humor. Her strength and courage were remarkable. Not only was she beautiful on the outside, but she had a beautiful spirit as well. Her children and her family were her life.

Preceded in death by her mother, Sue Johnston Patterson, she is survived by sons, Casey and Luke Dunigan, and daughter, Karena Sue Combs; father, Mike Patterson of Wellston and the following siblings: Mary (Teny) McKinney and spouse Mike of Torrance, California; Charlotte Patterson of Wellston, Ohio; Hilah (Suzy) Perkins and spouse Rod of Pittsburg, Kansas; Peggy Williams and spouse Rob of Coshocton, Ohio; Kevin Patterson of Wellston, Ohio; Kelley Patterson of Newcomerstown, Ohio; and Colin Patterson of Gallipolis, Ohio. In addition, she is survived by many devoted nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Carrie’s life will take place at Sts. Peter and Paul Parish Hall in Wellston, Ohio on Saturday, June 16th from 6 to 10 p.m.
