Douglas Steven Grady, age 61, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Monday, June 11, 2012 at the Kobacker House in Columbus. He was born May 29, 1951 in Jackson, the son of Jayne Horton and the late Royce Horton.
He is survived by daughters, Karen (Rob) Ballinger, of Pataskala, Ohio, Tameron (Mike) Demeter, of Hilliard, Ohio; five grandchildren, Myranda, Jake, Stevie, Lily and Ella; two great-grandchildren, Liam and Ayden; three sisters, Vicky (Carl) Coy, of Jackson, Debbie (Cris) Keller, of Palatka, Florida, and Tina Edwards, of Jackson; and two brothers, Greg and Rick Grady, both of Jackson. Also surviving are his girlfriend of 20-plus years, Shannon Smith; faithful canine companion, Boy, and lots of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his brother, Frank (Goose) Grady Jr., and grandmother, Goldie Kerr.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the Lewis-Gillum Funeral Home (formerly Eisnaugle-Lewis) of Jackson, with Pastor Chris Tomaso officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday, from 12 noon until the time of the service at 2.
