Robert Morgan, age 64, of Coalton, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 9, 2015. He was born June 14, 1951 in Wellston, Ohio to the late John and Pearl (Denney) Morgan.
Robert was a United States Army veteran and was a retired janitor of 22 years with the Jackson City School system. He attended Coalton Freewill Baptist Church and then Petrea Freewill Baptist Church, where he was the adult Sunday School teacher.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Catherine (Garrett) Morgan of Coalton, Ohio; two children, Misty Gee and Mike Morgan, both of Jackson, Ohio; three grandchildren, Tiffany Slack, Joshua Gee, and Michiah Morgan; two brothers, Don Morgan of Jackson, Ohio and John Morgan of Glen Roy, Ohio; and sister, Bonnie Swartz of Holmesville, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Tristian Morgan; sisters, Diana Jacobs and Lorna Morgan; and nephews, Travis Swartz and Joe Morgan.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson, Ohio. A service will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Simpson and Assistant Pastor Robert Fulton officiating.
