Weldon Keels, age 91, of Oak Hill, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021, at the VA Medical Center in Chillicothe. He was born June 10, 1930, in Blackfork, Ohio to the late Clem and Gail (Watson) Keels.
He is survived by his sisters, Lula Mae Anderson and Virginia Crump; many beloved nieces, and nephews, stepchildren, and other extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mandy Keels; brothers, Roland, Ray, Eldon, Turley Keels; sisters, Tressa Davis, Mary Keels and Thelma Keels.
Weldon was a Korean War Veteran, serving in the United States Army in Korea as a tank driver. He held many job positions including the working for City of Oak Hill, working for Dr. Williams, working for several different farmers in the Gallia Area, and he also had a cattle farm of his own. He loved life and he loved to travel. Per his request, he will be cremated. Burial of his remains will be held a later date at the convenience of the family in Union Baptist Cemetery.
