Rosabelle Burton Ray, age 85, of Zanesville, and a former resident of Glenroy, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Alter Care in Zanesville.
She was born October 7, 1936 in Jackson, Ohio to the late Archie Burton and Ella Cheek Burton. Rosabelle, a 1954 graduate of Jackson High School, was a loving housewife and mother who enjoyed watching TV, spending time with her family and visiting with the neighbors. She formerly attended Maggie’s Home Church in Dundas and Prospect Methodist Church in Adamsville.
Rosabelle is survived by her sons, Doug E. Ray (Susan), Mark A. Ray and Scott C. Ray (Michelle), all of Zanesville; sister, Carolyn Wyatt of Glenroy, along with 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Quade Ray; brothers, Charles Burton and David Burton; and her former husband, Gene Douglas Ray.
Calling hours will be Monday, October 18, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. at the funeral home and burial will be in the Greenlawn Memory Gardens in Coalton.
