Richard Dean Tilley, born July 8th, 1952, in Oak Hill, Ohio passed away unexpectedly at his home in Jackson on Sept. 15th.
He is survived by his wife of many years, Lisa Tilley of Jackson, Ohio; his two daughters: Angie (John) Woods of Oak Hill, Ohio and Kristina (Dwayne) Poorman of Beaver, Ohio; his son, Dennis Bradley of Piketon, Ohio; his grandchildren, whom he cherished tremendously and who brought him so much happiness: Kyla, Kelsey, Trista, Liberty, Mallori, Lakyn, and Dennis; two brothers: Jim (Katrina) Tilley of Ray, Ohio and Ernie (Carol) Tilley of Springfield, Ohio; one sister, Valerie Lewis of Jackson, Ohio; nephews: Allan Tilley and Mark Tilley; and his nieces: Michelle Baldwin and Jamie Jog.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Florence Tilley; three brothers: Gene Brooks, Jackie Tilley, and Ellis Tilley; and sister, Sharon Manning. When Richard left his earthly life, he was also greeted by his three sons: Richard Shad Tilley, Jarrod David Tilley, and Nathan Dean Tilley. With each child that he lost, a small piece of his heart was gone as well. He talked about his boys frequently and we know that he is at peace with his boys by his side and can be reunited with them.
Richard loved his family more than words can describe. Before his health deteriorated, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He will be greatly missed by many, but… love never dies.
