Tamela Jo Durham, age 65, of Jackson, Ohio died at home on Monday, Aug. 9, surrounded by her family. Tamela was born on October 26, 1955, in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of Wilhelm and Jolene Westenberg. Tami was employed by Dent’s Frosty Kreme, Walmart and Heartland of Jackson. She also provided a home for numerous foster kids through Soujourner’s Foster Care Agency for over 20 years.
Tami was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Durham, and great-granddaughter, Mariah Culwell. Tami is survived by her children, Steven Durham, Jr. of Jackson, Eugenia Durham of Jackson and Jason (Karen) Durham of Minford; grandchildren, Tamera Durham, Jacob (Nikki) Culwell, Katelynn Durham, Faith Culwell, Landen Durham, and Lilly Durham; and great-grandchildren, Arianna Crislip and Maicee Cullwell.
A visitation for friends and family of Tami will be Monday, Aug. 16, held from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Cox-Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio. A graveside service will be held following the visitation hours.
