Helen Mae Taylor, age 88, of Jackson, Ohio passed away Sunday, July 11 at Holzer of Jackson. She was born December 17, 1932, in Jackson, Ohio to the late Frank and Gladys (Benson) Waugh.
Helen is survived by her children: Mike Taylor, Melodie (Steve) Walker, and Leah Harrison; grandchildren: Emily (Shawn) Lowe, Jessie Walker, Cody Taylor, and Jake Walker; great-grandchildren, Haven Lowe and Kayla Lowe; siblings: Shirley Daniels, Brenda (Wayne) Mullins, Betty Branscomb, and Larry Dean (Joan) Waugh; sisters-in-law, Mary Dameron, Edith Ridgeway, and Wanda Waugh; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Taylor; siblings: Henry Waugh, Buddy Waugh, Roger Waugh, Richard Waugh, Frankie Waugh, and Genevieve Graham; great-granddaughter, Sarah Lowe.
Helen loved birds and flowers; she also enjoyed quilting, and her family lovingly says she has the gift for gab. Those who knew and loved her will miss her dearly.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 16 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Janie Karl officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.lewisgillum.com.
