Timothy Lee “Walnut” Willis, age 63, of Jackson, Ohio passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021 at his home. He was born Dec. 6, 1957 to the late Donald and Amelia (White) Willis.
Tim was a graduate of Jackson High School, class of 1976. He worked various construction jobs around the area down through the years, but he was most known for laying concrete. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns fan. He also enjoyed hanging out with his friends. He will be remembered by those who knew and loved him as being a hard worker and a great friend who was always there for anyone who needed him.
He is survived by his daughters, Alicia (Brian) Hendrickson and Amelia “Amy” Willis (David Ward); grandchildren: Lexxi, Macy and Ohlen; siblings: Donald “Peanut” (Cindy) Willis, Hope (Wade) Humphreys, Jay (Robin) Willis and Jim (Kerry) Willis; sister, Amber Cron; stepmother, Betty Willis; close friend, Cheryl Willis; stepchildren: Ashley Rippeth, Cody and Cory Collins, and Michael Euton (Bridget Trisch); as well as several nieces, nephews and numerous other family members.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Joshua Willis.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 19, 2021 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Jack Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery. Per CDC and governor guidelines, everyone is to wear a mask while indoors and practice proper social distancing.
