Kindhearted. Loving. Humble. Forgiving.
These are but a few words that describe Ralph Eldon Souders, 69, of Wellston, who passed away on Friday, Aug. 23, 2019, at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio. He was born on April 5, 1950, in Coalton, Ohio, son of the late Jefferson and Auretta (Schart) Souders.
Ralph was a man with a “heart of gold.” He never knew a stranger and would help anyone in need. He was a hard worker whose priority was taking care of his family. Ralph enjoyed fishing, watching Cincinnati Reds baseball, and Ohio State Buckeye football. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving family: wife of 40 years, Ann; three daughters, Marybeth (Donny) Mays, Kathy (Johnny) Hudson, and Nadina Peart (James Jones); son, Jeff Souders; eight grandchildren: Jamie, Jimmy, Jay, Katie, Jonna, Tori, Layton, and Hannah; two great-grandchildren, Spencer and Carlie; a brother, George “Butch” Tiviner; sister, Eva Soma; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, John Soma and a nephew, Alan Soma.
The family will receive friends at R.M. Williams Funeral Service, 120 W. Broadway St., Wellston, on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2019, from 3 to 5 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Ralph’s life, will follow commencing at 5 p.m.
