James Dixon Frankland, age 52, of Jackson, passed away at his residence on Sunday, October 30, 2016. He was born on September 21, 1964 in Columbus, Ohio to James C. and Sally (Kearns) Frankland, who survive.
In addition to his parents, he is also survived by special uncle and aunt, Tom and Sally Kearns and great-aunt and uncle, Gladys and Jack Blackburn. Other surviving family members include uncle Don Frankland and uncles Steve and Ronnie Kearns. Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Don and Eileen Frankland, James Kearns and Peggy Detty, and his great-grandparents, Mayfield and Edith White.
James was active with his class reunion committee. He really enjoyed music, and won many national air-guitar competitions.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 4 at 5 p.m. at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Kerry Reed officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Jackson County Dog Pound, 275 Portsmouth Street, Jackson, Ohio 45640.
