Mary White, age 76, of Jackson, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born on April 30, 1939 in Ray, Ohio to the late Frank and Edna Crago. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald White; two sons: Ernest Bowling, Jr., and Kenny Walker; a sister, Kathleen Broughton and a son-in-law, Ronnie Justice.
She is survived by daughters, Dolly Justice and Alice (Keith) Newsome, both of Jackson; three grandsons: Justin Newsome of Jackson, Brian Justice of Jackson and Cory Newsome of Columbus; two granddaughters: Jessica (Zech) Benner of Bainbridge and Rhonda (David) North of Jackson; five great-grandchildren: Braxton, Aiden, Aubury, Kambrea Jayne, Aaron and Austin; and one sister, Lucille (Gene) Martin of Fostoria, Ohio.
Mary spent her time as a wife and homemaker. She was a devoted mother and loving grandmother. Some of her hobbies were playing the piano, sitting on the porch swing with her grandchildren and cooking delicious meals.
She was the kindest person and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home on Friday, March 18 at 1 p.m., with Charles Dozier officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, March 17 from 4 to 6 p.m.
