Charles “Charlie” H. Price III, age 64, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born January 18, 1952 in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Mabel (Rowland) Goheen and Charles H. Price, Jr.
Charlie was a 1970 graduate of Wellston High School. He attended Hocking College where he obtained his Associates Degree in Corrections and then went on to work at Chillicothe Correctional Institute. He was a longtime member of the NRA.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Belinda (Miller) Price; children: Charles H. Price IV, Michael Price (Erica), and Billy Price (Jenny); sister, Rebecca Goheen; seven grandchildren: Michael Price Jr., Makala (Dalton) Matney, Hannah Russell, Dakota Price, Brady Price, Docken Wheeler, and Justin Moore; two great-grandchildren: Jayston Metheney and Aaiden Matney. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Judith Bowling; and his grandparents.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 2 p.m. under the direction of Pastor Andy Rawlins. Burial will follow at Byer Cemetery.
