Calling hours for William C. Lantz, 73, of Utica, OH, will be held 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, November 5, 2015 at the funeral home with Mark McDaniel officiating followed by a graveside service at 2 p.m., Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Salem Cemetery, Wellston, OH.
Mr. Lantz died November 1, 2015 at Selma Markowitz Care Center, Newark. He was born February 19, 1942, in Wellston to the late William C. and Dorothy (Doughty) Lantz.
Mr. Lantz taught mathematics at Utica High School from 1963-1973 and Granville High School from 1974-1995. He was head football coach for Utica and Granville and head baseball coach for Utica. Mr. Lantz was a member of Ohio Education Association, UTK, National Grange and an advocate and presenter for Lifeline of Ohio.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Trevor and Holli Lantz of Fort Wayne, IN; daughter, Erin Lantz, of NY; eight grandchildren, Ashton, Caden, Jacob, Eliah, Eliana, Adeline, Lynlee and Hope Lantz.
